COVID-19 Impact Report

AAPPR queried its members in the summer of 2020 through both an online survey and personal interviews to hear directly from them on what had changed in their profession after the United States began restricting movement to flatten the curve of COVID-19. The data shows a tale of two roads diverging: those who stopped and those who kept recruiting.

Search Success Report

AAPPR examined the numerous factors that impact a recruitment professional’s ability to fill their open searches. AAPPR defines days to fill as the difference between the date a search was initiated and the date a contract was signed. Factors such “Leadership Culture,” the “Compensation and Benefits Packages,” and their “Location’s Desirability” were indicated by recruiters as having the most influence on their ability to fill searches.

Technology Utilization and Satisfaction Report

AAPPR examined the ways in which in-house physician and provider recruitment professionals use technology for applicant tracking, time management, communication, and general staff productivity. The study revealed investments in technology to support physician and provider recruitment lags behind other technology investments by hospitals and health systems.

Recruitment Processes Report
