AAPPR Connect Conference

  • REGISTRATION, ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATION
    • How do I register to attend?

      Health care professionals interested in attending AAPPR Connect must complete an online application by January 22, 2021. Due to limited capacity, participation is restricted to one person per health care facility.  AAPPR will review applications based upon applicants’ decision-making authority and purchasing level/interest. AAPPR will notify applicants on the status of their application by February 1. If accepted to attend, AAPPR will follow-up with a final commitment to complete registration.

    • What if I don’t qualify to attend?

      AAPPR invites you to participate in our Annual Conference. It is taking place virtually on April 26-27, 2021. Learn more and register here.

      • Is there a cost to attend?

        Accepted applicants will receive complimentary registration, two nights of hotel accommodations at the Gaylord Texan Resort, and all included meals free of charge.

      • Are continuing education credits being offered?

        Participation in this conference will provide 8 continuing education credits towards CPRP certification renewal.

        AAPPR is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. This program is valid for 8 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

        AAPPR is in the process of securing recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, aPHRi™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®).

      • What are the requirements of participation?

        Attendees will be required to meet with at least eight of the sponsoring business partners at the conference. Attendees will be able to review business partners’ profiles and initiate appointments through AAPPR’s scheduling portal. Each meeting will be ten minutes long and will take place at designated times throughout the event that do not conflict with the education and networking sessions.

      • How will the appointment process work?

        In early April, AAPPR will email instructions for accessing the scheduling portal. Attendees will be able to review business partners’ profiles and initiate appointments through AAPPR’s scheduling portal. Each meeting will be ten minutes long and will take place at designated times throughout the event that do not conflict with the education and networking sessions.

    • ACCOMMODATIONS
      • How do I make hotel reservations?

        AAPPR will make hotel reservations for accepted applicants after they have confirmed their participation. Reservation confirmations will be distributed via email by the end of March.

      • How do I request special accommodations?

        Please direct any requests for reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as soon as possible or no later than March 12, 2021 to Amber Feldpausch at (800) 830-2777 or events@aappr.org.

    • SAFETY / PRIVACY
      • What if it isn’t safe to meet due to COVID-19?

        The safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff is our top priority. AAPPR and the Gaylord Texan Resort will implement measures to ensure optimal health and safety conditions for all participants. These measures include, but may not be limited to, social distancing, masks, screening at entry, and responsible food and beverage choices.

        AAPPR will closely monitor the situation and decide whether to move forward with the event as scheduled based on health and safety requirements by March 1.

      • Will my information be shared with the conference sponsors?

        Attendees’ contact information and purchasing interests will be shared with the sponsoring business partners. These partners may opt to send one email per week to attendees for the four weeks leading up to the event. They may also contact you following the conference. Each sponsor will offer the option to opt out of communications.

    • CANCELLATIONS

      If you have submitted an application but are not yet a confirmed attendee, please email events@aappr.org to remove your application. If you are a confirmed attendee and are no longer able to attend, please notify AAPPR as soon as possible (no later than March 18, 2021) so that we can offer the registration to another qualified attendee. Substitutions are not allowed.

    AAPPR Annual Conference

    • REGISTRATION, ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATION
      • Who is eligible to register as an attendee?

        The 2021 AAPPR Annual Conference is designed for health care professionals who influence the recruitment to retention continuum and are committed to quality health care for their communities. You must meet membership requirements listed below to register as a participant. Employees from vendors that have not purchased a virtual exhibit booth are not eligible to attend.

        All registrations are reviewed to ensure they meet the AAPPR eligibility policies and are considered pending until approved and conference eligibility has been met. AAPPR reserves the right to refuse or cancel all ineligible registrations at any time and shall not be held accountable for any outside fees associated with any cancellation.         MEMBERSHIP & CONFERENCE CRITERIA
        • Individuals who are engaged in the recruitment, onboarding, and/or retention of physicians and other healthcare providers and who are employed in these roles by a hospital, hospital organization, clinic, medical group, health maintenance organization, academic medical center, or state or federal governmental agency.
        • Independent contractors and self-employed recruiters who are contracted directly to recruit for a single healthcare organization that employs physicians.
        • Recruiters whose organization directly employs physicians and are contracted to staff other healthcare organizations with specific specialties (e.g. Emergency Medicine or Hospitalist).
        • Individuals who do not actively recruit, but are directly involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and/or retention process, have supervisory responsibilities for in-house physician recruiters or are actively engaged in physician education through residency or fellowship programs (such as healthcare executives, residency directors and coordinators).
      • Are continuing education credits being offered?

    • CONFERENCE ACCESS
    • CANCELLATIONS

      Following the conference, the entire event will be available to view on-demand through May 31, 2021. Therefore, registration to the virtual conference is nonrefundable.

      Registrants unable to participate in the virtual conference or extended on-demand access may send a substitute. If the alternate is not a member of AAPPR and the original registrant is a member, the nonmember registration cost differential must be paid in advance. Please email requests to events@aappr.org.
