AAPPR has adjusted our safety precautions for the conference based on updated CDC guidance and Chicago policies. The following precautions will be in place as long as the COVID-19 Community Level remains at Low or Medium in Cook County (Chicago).
Attendees are encouraged to:
– Wear a mask based on your personal preference, informed by your personal level of risk.
– Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.
– Wear a mask or respirator that provides you with greater protection if you are at risk for severe illness.
– Test yourself which can give you information about your risk of spreading COVID-19.
– Stay home if you test positive, regardless of whether you are experiencing symptoms.
AAPPR will continue to monitor the situation and adjust plans as warranted. AAPPR will enforce any federal, state, or local mandates as they exist at the time of the event. Those who don’t comply will be asked to leave the event.
For everyone’s safety, please do not arrive to the meeting ill or with any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other communicable disease. AAPPR is not responsible for losses in airfare/hotel due to non-attendance for any reason. Please plan accordingly when making reservations. If you develop symptoms while at the meeting, please quarantine yourself and notify AAPPR at info@aappr.org or call (800) 830-2777.
All cancellation requests must be submitted through the online refund request form.

No. However, AAPPR recommends attendees test themselves before the conference.
Yes, attendees have until April 8 to cancel their registration for a full refund (minus a $50 processing fee) for any reason. Attendees may cancel any time after that, for any reason, but before the event begins on April 23 to receive either a full credit to next year’s conference or receive access to the recorded sessions plus a partial credit ($349) to next year’s conference. Attendees who do not show and do not give any advance cancelation notice will not receive a refund or credit. Attendees who feel ill before traveling to Chicago for the meeting or before attending the event should not attend the Conference. If you develop symptoms will at the conference, please return to your hotel room and follow CDC guidelines.
The McCormick Place has made several recent improvements to its facility, increasing the number of touch free doors, installing air quality upgrades to increase building intake/air change rates during event hours, and continually replacing HVAC air filters with efficient hospital grade rated filters.
