    Health & Safety Precautions

The AAPPR Board of Directors recently enacted the following policy as it relates to AAPPR events and COVID safety precautions.

In the interest of public and attendee safety and comfort, AAPPR will require pre-event verification of a COVID-19 vaccination (at least 3-4 weeks past the last vaccine in the series) or a negative COVID result from a rapid or PCR test within 72 hours of the start of the event. AAPPR will not provide test kits on site if someone forgets to bring their results. Attendees can visit the Chicago Department of Public Health website for vaccine testing information. City Covid Testing, 60 E Delaware Pl, Chicago, IL 60611 may be the closest location for a rapid test with same day test results. Those who cannot comply with either option will not be allowed to attend. As of 10/19/21, in Chicago, masks are required in all indoor public settings for everyone 2 years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status. Click here to upload your documentation.

AAPPR will enforce any federal, state, or local mandates as they exist at the time of the event. Those who don’t comply will be asked to leave the event. All residents and visitors to Illinois are strongly encouraged to follow public health safety measures. AAPPR asks that all attendees acknowledge the event waiver and liability release in their event registration.

To ensure that all feel comfortable and safe at our event, some extra distance may be implemented in gatherings, dining areas, and seating situations. Expect that dining events including breaks, meals, and receptions may be modified from our usual format to accommodate masking/distancing requirements.

For everyone’s safety, please do not arrive to the meeting ill or with any symptoms of COVID-19 or other similar flu viruses. AAPPR is not responsible for losses in airfare/hotel due to non-attendance for any reason. Please plan accordingly when making reservations. If you develop symptoms while at the meeting, please quarantine yourself and notify a member of the AAPPR staff.

    Cancellation Policy

If you are a confirmed attendee and are no longer able to attend, please notify AAPPR as soon as possible (no later than October 26, 2021) to receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be given after October 26. Substitutions are allowed. If canceling after October 26, a request for a credit to a future educational offering may be requested. AAPPR will review these requests on an individual basis. Please email requests to and explain any extenuating circumstances.
